One of the disadvantages of the summer months is that once that sunlight starts streaming into your rooms it can illuminate more than you may want. It may feel nice and your room

If you can’t get a duster made of lamb’s wool using a soft paintbrush is another alternative. It is suggested that you place a couple of old towels or a sheet under the blinds before you start cleaning otherwise you are only making more work for yourself. If you prefer to do more than dust your blinds you can take them down altogether and wash them in a laundry or bathtub.
If your blinds have been neglected for a while and they have grease or other substances impacted on them you might have to use a general purpose cleaner to do a more thorough job. Spray the blinds making sure you have an adequate coverage and allow the cleaner to penetrate for a few minutes. Now, remove the cleaner by wiping gently using a soft cloth. Remember to rinse your cloth frequently to achieve a good result. Do this to both sides of the blinds and then let them dry.
Another method for cleaning your blinds is to use a pair of old cotton gloves. Put them on your hands, I know that seems fairly obvious but we do get asked the question. Once you have the gloves on dip your fingers into a premade mixture of a teaspoon of ammonia and 1 quart of water and just slide your fingers between the slats on the mini blinds. Remember to rinse your gloves frequently else you are just replacing the dirt. It is also a good idea after following this method to run a soft dry cloth over the mini blinds to make sure they are thoroughly dry. Leaving your blinds damp can attract mould and totally spoil the effect of your room.
A final option you might like to consider is simply by using the small attachment on your vacuum cleaner and suck the dust up this way. Which means you don’t have to take the blinds from the window.
